About Us

The Cedar Lane PTA supports all students within our diverse community. Our mission is to promote the well-being and education of all children by supporting their physical, mental, emotional, and social development, and by fostering strong family-school partnerships.

We are an active organization that provides daily support through funding for technology, supplies, library resources, and recess equipment. We also offer enriching extracurriculars such as enrichment programs, Math and Science Olympiads, Running Club, and performance opportunities. We host events including seasonal celebrations and family nights that encourage family engagement and community connection.

We ensure all students can participate, regardless of financial need. We subsidize field trips, supplies, and events for them. We also support our English learners with translation tools, supplies, and educational technology.

Our PTA is made up of parents, teachers, and school staff who advocate for children at the school, local, state, and national levels. Volunteers and board members help organize:

* Educational programs (assemblies, field trips, library events)

* School enhancements (outdoor improvements, clean-up days)

* Student programs (Baroody Camps, Running Club)

* Staff appreciation (reimbursements, professional development)

* Social events (Monster Mash, International Night, Carnival, Movie Nights)

* Fundraising (Boosterthon, Read-A-Thon, Spirit Nights/Events)

Membership in the Cedar Lane PTA includes National PTA benefits such as parenting resources, exclusive discounts, convention access, and a platform to advocate for children and education nationwide.
